About The Better Worse Game

Which one's rated higher? A quick, addictive guessing game about audience taste.

The Better Worse Game is a fast-paced ratings guessing game. Each round, you're shown two movies or TV shows (or, in Episodes mode, two specific episodes) and you simply decide which one has the higher audience rating. The closer the scores, the harder the call.

Why we built it

It started as a spin-off of The Newer Older Game, built around the same instant, no-instructions-needed format, but for people who'd rather argue about quality than chronology. It rewards a feel for audience taste as much as raw trivia knowledge.

How it works

Pick a show or let us mix things up, then race through rounds in Classic mode, or test your reflexes in Beat the Clock. Episodes mode narrows things down to specific episodes within a series, where the ratings sit much closer together. One wrong guess ends your run, so every round counts toward your high score.

Our approach to ratings

Ratings are pulled from IMDb user scores and checked periodically, since scores can shift over time as more people vote. We keep the game family-friendly and free of restricted content, and we're always adding new shows based on player feedback.

The Newer Older Game

If chronology is more your speed, check out The Newer Older Game, the original game this one spun off from. Same fast rounds and same rules, but you're guessing which of two movies, brands, games, or events came first.
